The High Holy Days are a time for reflection, re-connection, and prayer. We are delighted that you are considering joining us for the upcoming High Holy Days. In addition to celebrating and observing these special holidays, people often use these services as a way to get acquainted with our congregation and community. We welcome you to do so.

We offer many ways to enjoy the beauty of the High Holy Days with a wide variety of services and musical styles.

High Holy Day Service Passes

Every adult is required to have a pass for entry. With each High Holy Day Pass, your guest is welcome to attend all services. Please note that this year all of our services will require a ticket to be shown upon entrance. Refer to the Schedule of Services (INSERT NEW LINK HERE) for more information.

Adult guest passes are $275 per person. Complimentary passes are available for those under the age of 18, students in college and graduate school, and active military.  If you would like a special price accommodation, please call the main office at (510) 451-3263.

Book of Remembrance

It is customary at Temple Sinai to honor the memory of departed loved ones in a "Book of Remembrance," which is distributed at the afternoon Yizkor service on Yom Kippur.

Names already listed in one of Temple Sinai's perpetual memorial walls—the Tree of Life in Stern Hall, or the Wall of Remembrance in the Sanctuary—are always listed in the Book of Remembrance. 

If your loved one's name is not on one of these perpetual memorials, we ask that you make a new request each year in order for the name of your departed loved one(s) to be listed in the Book of Remembrance. 

The deadline to submit names for this year's Book of Remembrance was Friday, October 4, 2024. Thank you.
